Alarm line
Every alarm in the unit is replaced with a new one, linked where the wiring allows, and pressed to test. The new alarms are in the price.

When it is on the list
An alarm with no date, or one past the date its maker gives, is replaced rather than tested.
A chirp that returns after a battery swap means the alarm is at the end of its life.
Pressing the test on one should sound the others when they are linked.
Paint and grime on the cover and sensor are a reason to replace the alarm.
The visit
We count every alarm in the unit and note the room each one is in.
Each alarm comes down and a new one goes up on the same wiring or the same bracket.
Every alarm is pressed to test, and linked alarms are checked together.
You get a photo of each new alarm, by room, with the work order number.

The counts in each column are approximate. Standard white alarms are in the price. A new alarm location that needs new wire is priced before work.
Yes. They are replaced and tested at the same price per alarm as hardwired ones, when the count fits the column.
A new location that needs new wire is priced before the work, because the wall decides the cost.
Each CO alarm is replaced and tested like the smoke alarms. We do not test the air in the unit.
List it with the rest of the unit, or send it alone.
