Questions
What property managers and landlords ask first
What is on the turn list?
Smoke and CO alarms, GFCI outlets, outlets and switches, and light fixtures and fans. Each is priced by unit size; the pricing page explains how.
What if the unit needs more than the list?
The crew stops at the list. If it finds something else, you get a photo and a written price, and nothing off the list is started until you say yes.
Is the price final?
It is the price for the counts in each column, written down before the work. A bigger count is priced per item, and wire behind a finished wall is priced before the work.
Who supplies the parts?
We supply standard white alarms, GFCI outlets, outlets, switches and plates. You supply fixtures and fans, or tell us the model and we price it at cost.
Do you pull permits?
Like-for-like swaps do not usually need a permit. A new circuit, a moved outlet or a panel does, and we say so in the price before the work.
Do you work in occupied units?
Turns are for vacant units. If a tenant is still living in the unit, call first and we will say whether the list can wait.
Do you do emergency work?
No. We do not run an after-hours line. If there is fire, call 911. For a burning smell or sparks, and if it is safe, turn off the breaker and call us in the morning.
Are you licensed and insured, and how do I check?
Yes. The license line is in the footer of every page with a link to the state lookup, and a certificate of insurance goes out with your first work order.
How do I send a work order?
Use the form, text the list or a photo to (901) 555-0100, or email hello@wardlawelectric.com.
Still have a question?
Text it to us, and we answer on the next working morning.
